At Marco Nascimento BJJ, the quality of our instruction sets us apart. Our students have the opportunity to train every day with an exceptional team of experienced black belt instructors, including Professor Marco Nascimento, a 7th-degree Coral Belt; Professor Juan Souza, a highly accomplished international competitor and 3rd-degree Black Belt; and Professor Christina Nascimento, a 1st-degree female Black Belt and accomplished IBJJF competitor.
Marco, Juan, and Christina are not simply names associated with the academy—they are on the mats teaching classes every day, working directly with our students from beginners through advanced competitors.
High-Level Training for Every Level
Our adult program offers training for everyone from first-day beginners to experienced competitors and black belts.
Professor Juan Souza brings extensive high-level competition experience to the academy. A 3rd-degree Black Belt, Juan has won major IBJJF events including the Pan No-Gi Championship, Pan Championship, World Master Championship and American Nationals.
Professor Christina Nascimento is a 1st-degree Black Belt and one of the academy’s primary instructors. She has competed extensively throughout the United States and internationally, earning medals at the Pan Championships, European Championships, World Masters, Asian Open and other major IBJJF events.
Together with Marco, Juan and Christina provide students with different perspectives, teaching styles and areas of expertise—all at an exceptionally high technical level.
Whether your goal is to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, improve your technique, compete, develop practical self-defense skills or get into better shape, you will receive hands-on instruction from experienced instructors who are invested in your development.
Kids Classes Taught by Black Belts
We take the quality of our kids program just as seriously as our adult program.
Our kids classes are led and programmed by experienced Black Belt instructors. We do not delegate the responsibility for teaching our children’s program to teenage or junior-ranked instructors.
This means your child is learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from instructors with decades of combined training, teaching and competition experience.
For our younger students, classes combine movement-based games, engaging instruction and age-appropriate Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu so children are learning while still enjoying their time on the mat. As students become more experienced, the training becomes increasingly technical and challenging.
Our Advanced Kids and Competition programs focus on developing strong fundamentals, detailed technique, strategy, positional awareness and a well-rounded Jiu-Jitsu game.
Most importantly, we want kids to learn Jiu-Jitsu correctly, build confidence and enjoy coming to class.
